We are approx 1 hour from the world famous Wilsons Prominotory National Park. This is an unmissable day out, where you will enjoy pristine beaches, walking trails and an abundance of native wildlife. THE GREAT SOUTHERN RAIL TRAIL
Meeniyan is located on the Great Southern Rail Trail. Cycling and walking in either direction is accessible to all levels of ability. Didn’t bring a bike? No problems, bike hire is available within Meeniyan at two locations:

Take a walk through the Meeniyan Community Gardens and see the incredible produce, sculptures and kids play area created by Meeniyan’s wonderful volunteer gardeners.
Meeniyan has a wide range of eclectic shopping, including jewellery, gifts and homewares, clothing, a fabulous bookshop, the Meeniyan Art Gallery, Cycling supplies, a community run Op Shop, Pharmacy, AG Supplies and workwear and our local Post Office. Opening hours vary between stores but a stroll down our main street will certainly surprise and delight.
Meeniyan Rec Reserve is located at Nerrena Road, Meeniyan. Facilities include large public oval, bowls club, cricket nets, netball and tennis courts, kids playground, skate ramp and sparkly new toilets. BBQ facilities are located by the rotunda, at Tanderra Park (on the main street in Meeniyan)
South Gippsland has so much to offer both locals and visitors alike. From the beaches of Inverloch and surrounds to the rainforest of Tarra Bulga National Park, there is sure to be something for everyone.
